LMN Wedge is a woman-owned studio and gallery for artists and art lovers to connect and learn in the spirit of discovery, community, and play.

In 2021, owner Laura Mae Noble (LMN) expanded her personal studio into an ever-evolving, eclectic habitat within Wicker Park’s historic Flatiron Building. Called to showcase the work and diverse perspectives of fellow creatives, she began offering classes and events for all ages, experience levels, and artistic mediums, and established Wedge Gallery.

We believe the key to being artistic is a truly separate space to create and is dedicated to providing a safe, peaceful environment to grow in confidence and curiosity.

Meet Our Team

Laura Mae Noble

Founder

Laura grew up in rural northeastern Vermont. Friends with birds, cats, and salamanders, she learned to walk under the tall whispering trees, a soft floor of spruce needles beneath her feet.

Laura is a biophilic artist with a deep affinity for animals, plants, and life in general.

Laura graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in Illustration, having spent a year in Rome as part of RISD’s European Honors Program. Laura moved to Chicago from NYC in 2010 and was an undergraduate faculty member at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) from 2012 to 2026, teaching in the Fashion Department and Continuing Studies. In 2021, she established her studio LMN Wedge in the Flatiron Arts Building.

While organizations are well and good, Laura most enjoys relating and creating with humans, one-on-one or in small groups. She believes that any goodness we have as humans must be cultivated at that level, with curiosity, humility, and joy. LET’S ART!

Alyssa Gonzalez

Instructor

Alyssa is dedicated to leading others in the study and practice of observational drawing, supporting the creative voice while instilling solid skills.

Alyssa is a classically trained artist and amazing at drawing; she leads our figure-drawing sessions and teaches a multi-part figure-drawing course.

A woman of few words, Alyssa is like a contemplative sage or wizened cowboy, but her interest in J-pop and love of cookies can get her talking. Her peaceful nature brings a meditative focus to her courses and encourages quiet observation, but Alyssa is always open to questions and conversation. Her instruction style is perfect for all levels, and if you are an avid learner, Alyssa is eager to teach you!

Mari Eboli

Instructor

Mari is a Brazilian, Chicago-based artist and art instructor creating welcoming, beginner-friendly creative experiences that blend art and community building.

With a background in hospitality, marketing, and brand-building, Mari brings a people-first approach to art—designing classes that feel more like a creative hangout than a traditional classroom.

Her work and workshops focus on creative projects that are accessible, playful, and pressure-free; after all, the goal is to leave every class feeling accomplished.

Inspired by color, texture, pop culture, and disco, Mari’s classes are thoughtfully designed for artists and crafters of all levels looking for a creative reset during the week, exploring creativity without intimidation or perfectionism. Whether hosting Industry Day Mondays or Thirsty Thursday Sip & Create nights, her goal is always the same: make art feel fun, social, and doable for everyone.
